University of Houston's New Stadium Levels Playing Field

Steve Campbell of the Houston Chronicle writes that the University of Houston’s plans for a new football stadium are seen as a game-changer for the entire university, not just the football team.

“It changes everything,” UH women’s basketball coach Todd Buchanan said. “It puts us on a level playing field with a lot of the entities within the state of Texas along with anybody in the entire country. It gives us the resources to recruit and compete.

“It’s absolutely phenomenal the commitment of this administration, the vision. It is absolutely amazing. I just swell with pride. I swell with pride in bleeding Cougar red.”
