Former Longhorn Killer Smith Inks With Rockets

The Houston Rockets have signed the man who sent the University of Texas home last March. Point guard Ishmael “Ish” Smith is reported to have agreed to terms with the team Thursday evening.

Ishmael Smith has signed a contract with the NBA’s Houston Rockets, his former high-school coach, Scott Brewer, told the Independent-Tribune of Cabarrus County on Friday.
Brewer said that Smith signed a two-year deal with the Rockets on Thursday.

Smith is somewhat of a homeless man’s Rajon Rondo. Hopefully the rookie to be can provide the team with some much needed depth and a floor general for the third unit.
