Texas A&M Vs. Kansas State: Aggies Fall To Wildcats After Four Overtimes, 53-50

The Texas A&M Aggies had leads of 14-0 and 31-21 in this game against the Kansas St. Wildcats, but Texas A&M could not pull of the win and ultimately lost after four overtimes. The 31-21 lead Texas A&M had was with over six minutes left but the Texas A&M secondary allowed Collin Klein to complete a 27-yard pass and a 53-yard pass which resulted in a touchdown.

Up three and with the ball, Texas A&M went three-and-out and along the way decided to not run down the clock as they threw the ball on second and third downs. That extra time allowed Kansas State to drive down the field and tie the game and send it to overtime. With running back Cyrus Gray having a career day and ending up with 221 yards it is odd that Texas A&M elected to throw the ball instead of running the ball and running off some time.

In the first overtime period Kansas State fumbled the ball in the endzone but it was recovered for a touchdown. The two team exchanged point until the fourth overtime where Texas A&M settled for a field goal and allowed Kansas State to score a touchdown. Which of course came by way of a Collin Klein 1-yard touchdown run.

Texas A&M Vs. Kansas State Score: Aggies Go Back In Front, Lead 21-14

The Texas A&M Aggies put a stop to the Kansas St. Wildcats scoring run and put a up a touchdown of their own. Texas A&M's Terrence Frederick intercepted Kansas State's Collin Klein and returned the ball 57 yards to the Kansas State 10-yard line. On the very next play Texas A&M tied the game by scoring on a Cyrus Gray 10-yard touchdown run. With the score by Gray it puts him at 99 yards on the ground so far in this afternoon.

Kansas State now has two turnovers and Texas A&M has converted both turnovers for 14 points. Texas A&M's defense is now back on the field and they need to stop Kansas State as they are driving down the field and in Texas A&M territory attempting to tie this game.

Texas A&M Vs. Kansas State Score: All Tied Up At 14 At The Half

The Texas A&M Aggies appeared to be on the rebound against the Kansas St. Wildcats by leading 14-0 midway through the second quarter, but the Kansas St. Wildcats offense has answered with 14 straight points to end the half. Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill started off well and is 12-for-20 with 116 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The running game for Texas A&M is down a man with Christine Michael out, but Cyrus Gray is performing well with 54 yards on 10 carries at the half. The other Texas A&M touchdown came from Jameill Showers who scored on a 3-yard run.

Kansas State then came back and scored 14 straight points in 3:05 to tie the game. Both Kansas State touchdowns came on the ground by quarterback Collin Klein. Klein only has 20 yards rushing but he did pick up a key first down on the first touchdown drive on a 4th-and-1 situation where Klein kept the ball himself to get a first-and-goal situation. Then Klein scored on a 2-yard run.

The Kansas State defense forced Texas A&M to punt on the next possession and then Klein had to big pass plays of 23 and 34 yards to move the ball down the field and then finished of the drive on a 3-yard touchdown run to tie the game at the half.
