The Houston Texans will be taking on the Atlanta Falcons with third-string quarterback T.J. Yates
The Houston Texans are officially beginning the T.J. Yates era at the quarterback position. Yates is the Texans third-string quarterback and is replacing backup Matt Leinart who broke his collarbone in the first half of last weeks games. The Texans brought in Jake Delhomme to help out Yates and the team made it clear that Delhomme is the backup and Yates is going to be the starter.
The Falcons are not doing much better in the injury department as running back Michael Turner and wide receiver Julio Jones are listed as questionable for Sunday's game. Turner has missed practice with a quad injury and Jones has been bothered by a hamstring injury over the past two months.
