Crew Gain Lead After Converting Second Penalty Kick
Andres Mendoza stepped up and converted his second penalty kick of the night, giving the Crew a 2-1 lead over the Dynamo in the 73rd minute. Mendoza stepped up to take the kick after JeVaughn Watson kicked Dilly Duka in the stomach during a Crew corner kick. Watson was caught ball watching on the play and his man was able to get in behind him in a good position.
