The Houston Rockets suffered a monumental collapse in the fourth quarter but held on in overtime to defeat the New Orleans Hornets 90-88. After scoring 58 first half points, the Rockets managed just 32 points in the second half and overtime including just seven in the fourth quarter. Houston used a late 7-0 run capped off by a Samuel Dalembert put back dunk that gave the Rockets the lead for good.
After making 10-14 shots for 27 points in the first half, Kevin Martin struggled in the second finishing the game 12-27 for 32 points. Courtney Lee added 17 points off the bench and Samuel Dalembert finished with 15 points and 17 rebounds. Luis Scola added 13 points and Kyle Lowry had an up and down night finishing with 10 points, nine rebounds, eight assists but also seven turnovers.
Jason Smith led the Hornets with 17 points while Jarrett Jack and Marco Belinelli added 15 points each. Trevor Ariza chipped in 10 points. Emeka Okafor grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds while scoring eight points.
The win is Houston's fifth in a row and improves their season record to 8-7. The Rockets are 6-1 at the Toyota Center. New Orleans falls to 3-12 on the season with the loss.

The Houston Rockets put up one of their best offensive halves of the season and lead the New Orleans Hornets by a score of 58-49 at halftime. Houston hit 55 percent of its shots in the first half with Kevin Martin putting up some big numbers in the half.
Martin scored 27 first half points hitting 10-14 attempts including 5-8 from three-point range. Kyle Lowry added eight points and six assists while Luis Scola chipped in seven points. Courtney Lee came off the bench to score nine.
Revor Ariza and Marco Belinelli each scored 10 points to lead the Hornets. Belinelli hit four of his five attempts from the field. Emeka Okafor was solid on the glass in the first half finishing with six points and nine rebounds in the first 24 minutes.
