Members of the Big 12 have only three losses outside of the conference.

No conference in the country has a better non-conference record than the Big 12. Through five weeks of the regular season, the conference has lost just three games to non-conference opponents: Kansas lost to Northern Illinois and Rice while Oklahoma State lost at a very good Arizona team.

Everyone else is spotless outside the conference.

West Virginia, Texas, and Kansas State are all inside the top 10 of the rankings, while Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and TCU are also ranked. Only the SEC, with six undefeated teams left, can have room for boasting against the Big 12.
