Texas A&M vs. Louisiana Tech score update: Aggies still up at halftime, 39-16

Texas A&M is making light work of Louisiana Tech through the first half of Saturday night's game, up by a score of 39-16. The Aggies jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter, pitting the Bulldogs in a 21-0 hole.

The second quarter wasn't quite as successful for the Aggies as the first, since they'd already established a cushion. But Texas A&M still managed to put up three field goals, a touchdown, and a blocked extra point attempt taken back for a safety.

While Tech had a much better second quarter than its first, scoring on a pair of touchdowns to finally crack the scoreboard, its defense hasn't been able to do much with Aggies' offense led by quarterback Johnny Manziel.

After Taylor Bertolet converted on field goals of 26 and 54 yards, Quinton Patton scored Louisiana Tech's first touchdown of the game on an 11-yard pass from Colby Cameron. But Manziel came right back with a 75-yard touchdown pass to Mike Evans. Kenneth Dixon ran for the Bulldogs' other score.

Damontre Moore returned the blocked PAT. Both teams were successful kicking field goals in the last minute of the half.
