Tim Jamison injury: Houston DE exits with right Achilles injury

Stay connected for news and updates

Houston Texans defensive end Tim Jamison was forced to exit with a right Achilles injury and is out for the remainder of the game, according to Tania Ganguli of the Houston Chronicle.

Jamison, a backup end on the defensive line rotation for the Texans, has just three combined tackles and one sack in five games this season with one pass defensed. In four seasons with Houston, Jamison has officially started just one game. His best season came in 2011, when the end recorded 19 total tackles and two sacks.

The Texans currently trail the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football, 14-7, in the second quarter. The Packers raced to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter thanks to a Jordy Nelson 41-yard touchdown reception and a James Jones six-yard touchdown catch from Aaron Rodgers.

The Texans got back into the game when Arian Foster's one-yard run capped a nine-play, 80-yard drive for Houston in the second quarter.
