Shooting guard Aaron Harrison and his brother, point guard Andrew Harrison, helped to lead Travis High School to the 5A championship game in Texas last season. Now, the two of them will be going to one of the premier college basketball programs in the country, as they announced their commitment to the Kentucky Wildcats on Thursday.
Kentucky won the National Championship last season, and also produced the top two picks of this year's NBA draft. Both Aaron, who is rated No. 3 in the nation in the class of 2012 by Rivals, and Andrew, who is ranked No. 4, are expected to play only a single year of college ball before hopping to the NBA. Both are expected to be lottery picks in the draft as well.
Before settling on Kentucky, the brothers had also considered going to Maryland and SMU. The Mustangs would have been a more local choice for the two.
