Brian Cushing went down with an injury in the second quarter of the Houston Texans' Monday Night Football game against the New York Jets. Cushing was slow to get up after being involved in a stop on a running play, going down after a chop block from Matt Slauson. Cushing was able to walk off the field without assistance, but a few minutes later he headed to the locker room with a look on his face that didn't suggest good news.

Cushing has been at the forefront of the Texans' defense so far, collecting five total tackles, three of them solo. That defense has had success in keeping the Jets' offense on their heels, holding them to 88 yards at the time of Cushing's injury.

Houston's offense had more success against New York's defense, collecting over 200 yards on the way to a 14-7 lead midway through the second quarter. Arian Foster is driving much of the offense, racking up 93 yards on seven carries.
