New Texas A&M Aggies head football coach Kevin Sumlin has finally filled out his coaching staff, and it took only two months to do so. The final hire was for a linebackers coach and Sumlin brought in Matt Wallerstedt who previously was the defensive coordinator for the Air Force Falcons:
"Matt has done a great job at the Air Force Academy and he will be a great addition to our staff," Sumlin said. "He is another coach on our staff with coordinator experience as well as experience serving as a recruiting coordinator."
Wallertedt worked with former Texas A&M defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter while at Air Force, so Wallertedt brings in some familiarity to the Texas A&M defense. Prior to taking the linebackers coaching job with Texas A&M Wallerstedt has coached at Air Force, Kansas State, Wyoming, Akron and others.
