The 2012 NBA All-Star reserves are going to be named tonight at 7 p.m. (ET) on TNT and Houston Rockets guard Kevin Martin has an outside shot at being named to the team.
The 2012 NBA All-Star starters for both the Eastern and Western Conferences have already been named. The starters for the Western Conference are Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin and Andrew Bynum. The reserve players for each team are set to be announced tonight on TNT at 7 p.m. (ET). More than likely, the full All-Star teams won't have any Houston Rocket players, but guard Kevin Martin may have an outside shot.
Martin is averaging 19.3 points per game for the Rockets this season. Most predict that the guards named to the All-Star reserves are going to be Monta Ellis, Steve Nash, Tony Parker or Ty Lawson. However, ESPN's Marc Stein believes that Martin would be a Western Conference snub if he isn't named to the All-Star roster.
SB Nation's Tom Ziller believes that Steve Nash will get one of the starting spots but that Martin is one of the players that could take it away from him.
GUARD NO. 2: Steve Nash. There is a ton of competition for this spot with Nash, Tony Parker, Kevin Martin, Ricky Rubio, Monta Ellis and Kyle Lowry receiving support, but Nash is the most deserving option. He's shooting as well as he ever has and sits just a hair under 10 assists per game with a largely mediocre set of scorers around him. If he played for a team with more notorious finishers, he'd be getting dark horse MVP support.

2012 NBA All-Star Rosters: Rockets' Kevin Martin Does Not Make Western Conference Reserves
According to CBS Sports, the Western Conference All-Star reserve players have been selected. There were seven players added to the Western Conference All-Star team but Houston Rockets guard Kevin Martin wasn't one of them.
CBS SportsNBA Western Conference All-Star reserves announced: L. Aldridge, M. Gasol, K. Love, S. Nash, D. Nowitzki, T. Parker, and R. Westbrook.
Steve Nash Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash, who is averaging 15.1 points per game, and Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook, who is averaging 22.3 points per game, were selected ahead of Martin, who averages 18.7 points per game this season.
