Rockets Vs. Nuggets: Marcus Camby Out With Back Injury

Stay connected for news and updates

The Houston Rockets will continue to fight for their playoff lives Monday against the Denver Nuggets without the services of veteran center Marcus Camby, who is out with a back injury:

Camby, who was acquired at the NBA's trade deadline from Portland, has averaged 6.9 points and 9.0 rebounds during 15 games with the Rockets. He managed just eight minutes in Houston's loss at Denver on Sunday, which dropped them to a full game behind the Nuggets in the Western Conference standings.

The Rockets are now 32-28 and hold the eighth seed, but are just a game and a half up on Utah, who is in tenth place.

Houston finishes its schedule with three games apiece on the road and at home, including a pair of match ups with lowly New Orleans.
