Texas A&M's final homestand in the Big 12 will be against non-conference foe San Diego State, but there's still plenty on the line when it comes to NCAA Tournament seeding.
Normally the final homestand of the regular season would be crucial for the conference race, but Texas A&M (34-14, 13-8 Big 12) will host Mountain West member San Diego State (22-27) for an extremely rare non-conference home finale in College Station.
The Aggies are in second place in the Big 12, incapable of reaching first place Baylor (18-0) but locked in a three-way tie with Texas and next week's opponent, Oklahoma State, at 13-8, the outcome of which could hold a host bid during the NCAA Regionals. While this weekend's series can't help the Aggies gain ground on either OSU or Texas, winning two of three is mandatory to stay eligible for a Top 8 seed.
