The LSU Tigers baseball team has already clinched a share of the Western Division title in the Southeastern Conference and at least the second seed in the SEC tournament, but on Sunday the Tigers fell to Vanderbilt 5-4 in 10 innings.

Vanderbilt second baseman Tony Kemp hit an RBI single in the 10th inning to propel the Commodores over LSU dropping its conference record to 17-10. That puts the Tigers one game behind Kentucky and a half game behind South Carolina.

LSU took a 4-3 lead against Vanderbilt after shortstop Austin Nola brought home second baseman JaCoby Jones with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 8th inning. But Vanderbilt rightfielder Mike Yastrzemski bombed solo shot off of LSU closer Nick Goody in the ninth to tie it up 4-4.

The Tigers host Nicholls State of the Southland Conference on Tuesday.
