The Baylor Bears are in line to be the top-seed of the 2012 Big 12 Baseball Tournament.
The 2012 Big 12 Baseball tournament is set to begin later this week on Wednesday, May 23. Though the official bracket and seedings aren't out yet, we can paint a pretty clear picture based on the Big 12 standings -- and it sure looks like the Baylor Bears are in the driver's seat.
Baylor remains in first place in the Big 12, as the Bears are a tough 20-3 in Big 12 play so far this year. Last year's Big 12 tournament champion Texas A&M is currently in line to be the No. 2 seed.
Seeds three through five are still up in the air. Currently, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas are tied at 13-10. The Sooners are currently ahead in the standings because of a better overall record, followed by Oklahoma State and Texas. Still, with a few weekend games still left on the schedule, those three teams could flip flop in the standings.
Missouri, Kansas and Kansas State figure to round out the bottom seeds of the tournament.
