The regular season has ended in the Big 12, which can only mean one thing: ROAD TRIP, Y'ALL! We at SBNation Houston have you covered on all the vital information you need before the games start on Wednesday in Oklahoma City.
Who Is Playing?
Everybody but Texas Tech. The bracket looks like this:
| OKLA | TAMU | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 9:00 a.m. | 4:00 p.m. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| OKST | KANSAS | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 4:00 p.m. | *4:00 p.m. | 1:00 p.m. | **7:30 p.m. | 7:30 p.m. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| BAYLOR | TEXAS | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 12:30 p.m. | 9:00 a.m. | CHAMPION | 12:30 p.m. | 7:30 p.m. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| K-STATE | MISS | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 3:15 p.m. | 7:00 p.m. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 9:00 a.m. | 12:30 p.m. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
Baylor is #1, and Texas A&M is #2 and the top team on the other side of the bracket. On Baylor's side is #4 Oklahoma, #5 Oklahoma State, and #8 Kansas State. Texas A&M's side will feature #3 Texas, #6 Mizzou, and #7 Kansas.
When Are They Playing?
The first round begins Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. when Oklahoma plays Oklahoma State. Games are scheduled to start at 9 a.m. 12:30 p.m., 4 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. through Saturday, and the championship will be played at 1 on Sunday afternoon. In reality, the only games that will start on time are the morning games and the championship, because conference tournaments ALWAYS run behind schedule.
Are Any Teams On A Hot Or Cold Streak?
Great question! Texas A&M has been absolutely on fire over the past month. Since getting swept by Baylor in late April, the Aggies have gone 13-2 and won seven in a row with a series win over Texas, a midweek win against TCU, and a sweep of Oklahoma State.
Kansas State won seven of their last ten including series wins over Kansas and Texas Tech in order to get into the tournament. They lost nine in a row before that, so they've had a pretty impressive turnaround.
Oklahoma has won their last two series, including a sweep two weeks ago over Baylor.
Everyone else in the conference has either gone 6-4 or 5-5 in the last ten games, so nobody has been playing particularly poorly coming into the tournament.
Who Has Something On The Line This Weekend?
Mainly Baylor and A&M. Unless Baylor goes two-and-out, they're going to get a national seed and host in the NCAA Tournament. Obviously, though, it would be a huge disappointment for Baylor to be anywhere to Oklahoma City on Sunday. A&M could also lock up a national seed with a few wins in the tournament. Texas, Oklahoma, and OSU will likely be two-seeds regardless of what happens this weekend. Mizzou could slip in the tournament with a win, and Kansas and K-State aren't getting in unless they win the whole tournament.
Where Are These Games Being Played?
Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City's Bricktown district, home of the Oklahoma City Redhawks. It seats 13,000 and there are lots of places to get drunk or eat within walking distance.
Do I Need Tickets And Stuff?
Yes. They are session passes, weekend passes, and single game tickets. You can buy them at Big12Sports.com or at the Red Hawks ticket office.
How Far To Cattlemen's Steakhouse?
2.9 miles.
Enjoy the tournament, everyone.

The loss by Texas A&M eliminated them from the conference tournament, and the early exit will hurt their chances of earning a national seed for the NCAA tournament.
Kansas was led by Thomas Taylor who earned the win for the Jayhawks by pitching a complete game, while striking out a season-high nine batters.
Texas A&M actually got on the board first in the top of the first inning by scoring two runs, but Kansas immediately responded to score their own pair of runs in the bottom of the second. Kansas took their first lead when they put up two runs in the bottom of the fourth to fo up 4-2 when Jordan Dreiling hit a bases clearing triple off of Texas A&M starter Ross Stripling.
Texas A&M had a chance to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth when they had men on first and second base with no outs, but Mikey Reynolds flied out and then Tyler Naquin ended the comeback by hitting into a double play.
