2012 NCAA Baseball Regional Projections: Did Texas A&M Hurt Its Cause?

Stay connected for news and updates

The Texas A&M Aggies performed admirably during this college baseball season and set themselves apart from the others in their final season in the Big 12 conference. However, as the Aggies entered into conference tournament action, things have been less than grand for the boys from College Station.

Per the good folks at Perfect Game, things have gone from good to not so much.

The Aggies looked fantastic in their Big 12 tournament opening game against Kansas, but things went downhill fast the past two days, dropping rough contests to Missouri and Kansas, both bad RPI teams. In other words, the Aggies went from national seed contenders to just being glad to host an NCAA Regional.

The Aggies will need to regroup as the regionals are coming up soon. Can they recover to make a deep run?

For more coverage of Rice, Texas A&M baseball and the road to Omaha stay tuned to SB Nation Houston.
