Astros Vs. Rockies Final Score: Houston Falls 7-6 In Extras

A tough road trip continued Monday in Colorado, as the Astros fell to the Rockies 7-6 in 10 innings and were swept a doubleheader

Brett Meyers gave up two hits in the 10th, including a triple, and picked up his second loss of the season.

Colorado opened up the scoring with a leadoff homer from Dexter Fowler in the first inning. After back-to-back two-run innings in the third and fourth, the Astros took a 4-2 lead. But Houston starter Jordan Lyles allowed a bases-loaded walk and three-run triple in the bottom of the fourth and Colorado took a 6-4 lead.

A fifth-inning RBI-single from Chris Snyder and a sixth-inning solo home run from pinch-hitter Justin Maxwell tied the game at six. There would be no more scoring until extras.

Lyles gave up six runs (four earned) over five innings. But after him, the Astros used a total of seven pitchers over the final 4.1 innings. Brian Bogusevic led Houston at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs. Marwin Gonzalez went 3-for-5 with a run scored.
