Dynamo striker Macoumba Kandji cleaned up a a poor Vancouver clearance and fired a shot into the Whitecap’s goal. Vancouver goalkeeper Joe Cannon was able to get a hand on the shot, but was not able to keep it out of goal.
Houston now has just over six minutes in regular time to bring the score level.
