2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament: TCU Playing 'For All The Marbles' In College Station Regional Final

Stay connected for news and updates

TCU has been able to rely on its pitching to carry the Horned Frogs all the way to the College Station Regional championship game against Ole Miss, and if the success continues Monday night, TCU gets a shot at UCLA in the the Super Regional.

Stefan Crichton and Brandon Finnegan gave the commendable starting efforts for TCU and Justin Scharf 1 2/3-inning save was crucial for the Horned Frogs as well. TCU head coach Jim Schlossnagle has already said he believes momentum starts with the starting pitcher, so it will be interesting to see he puts Andrew Mitchell on the mound to start the game.

Either way it goes, they're playing for "all the marbles," as Schlossnagle put it to the Fort Worth Star Telegram:

"It just feeds from one guy to the next," he said. "But the past never equals the future. We're just going to try to grind it out one more day for all the marbles in this regional."
