On Thursday, the Senior Bowl released its first ever watch list of players that could compete in the annual all-star game. The Texas A&M Aggies lead all Texas schools on the list with four players named.
Led by linebacker Sean Porter, the list also names cornerback Dustin Harris, running back Christine Michael and wide receiver Ryan Swope. Porter was previously named to the Nagurski Award pre-season watch list, representing the nation's top defender, while Michael is on the watch list for the Maxwell Award, to represent the nation's top player.
The Aggies are prepping for their first season as members of the SEC, the conference that led all with 71 players on the Senior Bowl watch list, far ahead of the Big 10, which finished in a distant second at 46 players.
The Senior Bowl is the most prestigious of college football all-star games and features NFL coaches, scouts and talent evaluators all in attendance to prepare for the NFL Draft.

With the college football universe beginning to warm up now that the season is less than two months away, the preseason watch lists for all the major awards are starting to be announced.
The 6'0 190 senior had 2 interceptions, 11 pass deflections, 5 forced fumbles and 66 tackles in his first season for the Cougars last year, earning the Conference USA Defensive Newcomer of the Year Award as well as a spot on the All C-USA Second Team.
Hayden was a junior college transfer from Navarro JC, where he helped his team win the NJCAA national championships in 2010.
His combination of size and production has made him an NFL draft prospect headed into his senior season.

The next set of 2012 college football awards watch list have been released, and the latest to come out are the Nagurski and Outland Trophy awards. The Nagurski is handed out to the nation's best defender while the Outland is given to the best interior lineman.
The Texas A&M Aggies have linebacker Sean Porter named to the Nagurski watch list along side over 75 other preseason hopefuls. Porter is on the watch list for what he accomplished last season where he 79 total tackles, 50 were solo take downs, 17 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, broke up a pair of passes and force a fumble.
