2012 British Open Leaderboard Update: Bob Estes Tied For 15th

The 2012 British Open is underway this morning and the results have had mixed reviews so far for local golfers. In the first round, Justin Leonard is struggling to make the cut with a five-over score of 75 on the day. He's only four strokes off of last place and, at this rate, Leonard will not be around into the weekend at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club.

Bob Estes, on the other hand, is enjoying a nice showing at one-under and currently sits tied for 15th place among the field with 20 other golfers. Many of those are in progress, so the top of the leaderboard will continue to shift quite a bit. However, Estes is already through 15 holes on the day, so if he can stay the course, he will finish well in first round action.

Currently Adam Scott sits atop the leaderboard with a six-under overall score. Other notables in the top ten include Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and Bubba Watson.
