The NBA is set to release the 2012-13 schedule for the Houston Rockets and the rest of the NBA on Thursday night. The announcement will be aired exclusively on NBA TV, starting at 7 p.m. ET.

The Rockets just missed the playoffs last season, ending up as the ninth seed in the Western Conference, just two games behind eight seeded Utah. The Rockets have had a very busy offseason, which included the signings of C Omer Asik and PG Jeremy Lin.

The Rockets have started the last three seasons on the road, facing the Trailblazers in 2009, the Lakers in 2010 and opened the 2011 season against the Orlando Magic. They last opened the season at home in 2008 against the Memphis Grizzlies

The NBA will also release their Christmas schedule Thursday night, which is the biggest day of games during the NBA regular season.
