USA Shooting: Glenn Eller Looks To Defend His Gold Medal In London

After winning the gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the double trap shooting event, Katy, Tx. native Glenn Eller is looking to defend his crown this summer in London.

Glen Eller is no stranger to Olympic competition. The 30-year-old Katy, Tx. native has participated in every Olympics since the 2000 games in Sydney, Australia. This summer at the 2012 Olympic games in London, Eller will be competing in the double trap shooting event,

At the 2000 Olympics, Eller finished in 12th place. Four years later at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, he finished in 17th place. He finally broke through at the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing when he won gold in the double trap and will be defending his title this year.

In April Eller finished in fourth place during a test event held in London, but last October he took home the gold at the 2011 Pan American Games.

He is also a member of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit stationed in Fort Benning, Ga.
