Team USA Swimming: Texas A&M's Breeja Larson Finals In 100m Breaststroke

Texas A&M's Breeja Larson has made it to the finals of the 100m breastroke and is seeded fourth and has a realistic shot of earning her first Olympic medal. Larson is competing in her first Olympics. After the prelims Larson had the fourth fastest time with a 1:06.58 to win her heat, and in the semifinals she went just slightly slower with a time of 1:06.70.

In the finals Larson will be in lane six and is 1.49 seconds behind Lithuania's Ruta Meilutyte who has the fastest time heading into the finals. Next to Larson in lane five is American teammate Rebecca Soni who qualified just .72 seconds faster.

The 100m breaststroke finals will be at 2:15 p.m. CT and as always can be streamed live online, and it will be on NBC in primetime coverage.
