If the Astros have anything to feel good about after being outscored 23-5 in two games, it's Brett Wallace on Wednesday.

Another day, another loss for the 2012 Houston Astros -- and it was another bad loss for the former NL Central powerhouse Astros. Jordan Lyles surrendered nine runs (seven earned) over five innings, as the Milwaukee Brewers routed the Astros on Wednesday afternoon, 13-4, completing the three-game sweep.
The Astros actually led early in the game, jumping out to a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning when Brett Wallace hit his first of two home runs on the day. Unfortunately for the Astros, it was all Brew Crew from that point forward.
Cesar Izturis reached on an infield single in the fourth -- and an error by Jose Altuve helped both Ryan Braun and Corey Hart score, giving the Brewers a 3-2 lead.
Milwaukee would score six times in the fifth inning, highlighted by a two-run homer by Rickie Weeks. Izturis also homered in the frame.
Ryan Braun added a home run of his own in the sixth inning, while Jonathan Lucroy homered in the seventh.
Wallace added his second homer, a two-run jack, in the eighth inning, bringing the score to 13-4.
Mike Fiers earned the win for Milwaukee, pitching six innings, allowing just two runs on eight hits. Fiers did not issue a walk and struck out six.
The Astros will now head to Atlanta to open up a three-game series against the Braves on Friday.

While the Houston Astros weren't part of any major trade deadline deals on Tuesday - unlike last season, when both Michael Bourn and Hunter Pence were shipped to the NL East as the club signaled a total rebuild - the focus is most certainly on the future for the NL's worst club. Young Jordan Lyles will take the hill as Houston looks for its first win against Milwaukee in the series. Lyles has given up nine home runs in his last six starts and has an ERA over 5, but is thought to be a potential key part of the Astros' future rotation.

Astros starter Dallas Keuchel gave up seven innings over four-plus innings as Houston was routed in a 10-1 loss to the Brewers in Milwaukee on Tuesday night.
The Brewers scored one run in the first and second innings and scored two in the third on a home run from Aramis Ramirez. After a scoreless fourth, Keuchel allowed the first two batters in the fifth to reach and his day was done. Both would come around to score.
Chuckie Fick allowed one earned run in three innings of relief and Rhiner Cruz gave up two earned runs in the eighth.
At the plate, Houston's lone run was scored on a solo home run from Chris Snyder in the third inning. Snyder went 1-for-4, while Jose Altuve went 2-for-4.

There's nothing particularly notable for the Astros' lineup on this MLB trade deadline Tuesday as the Astros are set to play their second game against division rival Milwaukee, save for J.D. The Astros and Brewers were able to punish each other's bullpens on Monday and the same is likely to happen on Tuesday. It's going to come down to witch batting lineup can't exploit the other team's back end pitching the most.
I wrote before Monday's game that it would be difficult to watch these teams play against each other because of their deficiencies in the bullpen, but that series opener was actually pretty fun to watch. We'll see how Tuesday turns out.
Dallas Keuchel (1-3, 4.63 ERA) will start for the Astros, facing Yovani Gallardo (8-8, 4.07 ERA) in the pitching duel.

The Houston Astros held the Milwaukee Brewers scoreless through the first six innings of Monday's matchup on the road at Miller Park. But the Brewers put up eight total runs in the bottom of the seventh and eighth innings to steal the game despite a furious comeback from Houston who put three runs on the board in the top of the ninth inning.
It was a wasted night at the plate for outfielder Steve Pearce who registered three RBI's in the game.
Bud Norris got the start on the mound and pitched six complete innings and gave up four hits and three earned runs, but it was Francisco Cordero who was credited with the loss after giving up four hits and two earned runs in his one inning of work.
