Reports surfaced Friday of Tyrann Mathieu transferring to McNeese State after it was announced that he was dismissed from the LSU football program. What a shake up for the Southland Conference if this is true. Suddenly, the Cowboys have to join Sam Houston State as the co-favorite to win the league title.

We don't want to jump to conclusions here, but there's this photo that indicates he's already been to the McNeese fieldhouse and it's only a matter of time before the it becomes official.

This makes the SHSU/McNeese game so much more interesting on October 20. Not only would a former Heisman Trophy finalist be entering Bowers Stadium, but it's the Bearkats' homecoming game as well.
