Astros Vs. Cubs Score Update: Houston Down 5-0 After 5 Innings

Stay connected for news and updates

The Houston Astros kicked off their three-game series against the Chicago Cubs on Monday night. After five innings at Wrigley Field, they trail 5-0.

Astros starting pitcher Armando Galarraga has given up seven hits and five runs. This includes a Darwin Barney two-run home run in the second inning, an RBI single from Anthony Rizzo in the third and a two-run home run from Alfonso Soriano in the fifth. That accounts for all of the game's scoring so far.

Cubs starter Jeff Samardzija has been fantastic through five innings. He's given up just two hits and struck out eight.

The Astros are sporting a miserable .193 winning percentage on the road this season. If they don't put a run together, they will find themselves 11-47 away from Houston on the year.
