At just 5'5, Trindon Holliday hasn't had the impact at the wide receiver position in his career and training camp to make him a lock for the Texans roster. Instead, Holliday will have to rely on his ability as a returner to earn a spot, and he got out to a good start with a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the first preseason game of the year.
Not everything has been great for the Texans on special teams, though, as rookie returner Joe Adams had a 34-yard punt return against Houston for the Panthers on Saturday. The problem, according to Marciano, was the tackling efforts of the offensive players on the team.
"We didn't wrap. We didn't wrap and the contain guy folded too early. We had him bottled up. The contain guy told me he thought he was down. He's never down. The guy made a great play."
Holliday and the entire Texans special teams unit will get more play time when they see the field on Saturday night against the San Francisco 49ers.
