Houston Texans Camp: Blindside Tackle Duane Brown Resigns

Stay connected for news and updates

The Houston Texans have resigned left tackle Duane Brown, according to a Twitter report from John McClain of the Houston Chronicle and Sports Radio 610:

Brown, a Texans 2008 first-round pick, was owed $2.081 million this season. Brown was recruited by Virginia Tech as a tight end, and at 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds, Brown has the dexterity to fit into a "smart car." He earned second team All-Pro honors from the Associated Press last year, and has started 60 games in his Houston career, including making all 16 starts in his rookie year.

This contract leaves linebacker Connor Barwin as the Texans' most urgent unsigned player.
