The U.S. Open draw was announced Thursday, highlighted by a potential semifinal matchup and men's Olympic final rematch between No. 1 seed, Roger Federer, and No. 3 seed Andy Murray.
Federer, in search of his sixth U.S. Open title, will look to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Murray in the men's Olympic final as he takes on Atlanta native Donald Young in a first round match. Murray will square off against Russia's Alex Bogomolov Jr. in his first round match.
No. 2 seed, Novak Djokovic will meet Italy's Paulo Lorenzi in a first round matchup, and could face 2009 U.S. Open champion, Juan Martin del Potro in a quarterfinal match.
Mitchell Krueger of Aledo, Texas will play in a qualifier against Martin Alund of Argentina who is ranked No. 141 in the world and reached the third round of qualifying for the French Open earlier this year.
First round match-ups begin Monday, August 27th. The complete draw can be found here.
