The Houston Texans have seven players who are on the inactive list for Saturday night's game against the New Orleans Saints. Brian Cushing, J.J. Watt and Shaun Cody were not expected to play due to various injuries. With those three players out, the Texans defense will be shorthanded against the Saints.

Another roster move for Saturday's game has Derek Newton starting at right tackle over Rashad Butler. Those two players are in a battle to become the starter at that position.

• J.J. Watt, defensive end
• DeVier Posey, wide receiver
• Shaun Cody, defensive tackle
• Ra'Shon Harris, defensive tackle
• Jerrell Jackson, wide receiver
• Greg Williams, linebacker
