The United States are back on top of the overall medal count against China as they have a one medal lead 54-53. In the gold medal category, Team USA is also in the lead with 26 and 25 for the Chinese. After China it is the host country United Kingdom who is at 29 total medals and then in fourth place is Korea who has 17 medals.
Over at track and field Team USA won a silver medal in the women's 100m and Galen Rupp and one in the men's 10,000m. The third medal came in the long jump as Will Claye won bronze.
In the final day of swimming on Saturday the United States continued their relay dominance by winning a pair of gold medals in the 4x100m medley relay. The women's gold medal victory set a new world record, and the men's gold allowed Michael Phelps to win his 18th Olympic gold medal.
