Texas A&M will take on SMU Saturday looking to repeat their performance from last year in a romp of the Mustangs.

Texas A&M will head north to the Metroplex on Saturday to play SMU, only one of two in-state teams on the Aggies' new SEC schedule (the other, Sam Houston State, comes to College Station in November).

The Mustangs were walloped by Baylor in their season opener, but shut out FCS foe Stephen F. Austin 52-0 last week to improve to .500. After Hurricane Isaac interefered with the Aggies' opener at Louisiana Tech, A&M opened 2012 with a home loss to Florida as freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel threw for 173 yards, rushed for 60 and one touchdown.

These two teams opened 2011 in College Station, where the Aggies rolled up four rushing touchdowns to win 46-14.A&M also recorded eight sacks in the game, a single-game high for the '11 season.
