College Football Rankings, Week 4: LSU Jumps To No. 2 In AP Top 25 Poll

The LSU Tigers (3-0) crushed the Idaho Vandals, 63-14, on Saturday night, and with the dominant victory have jumped to the No. 2 spot in the newly released Associated Press Top 25 Poll. The Tigers received two first-place votes in this week's poll.

The LSU Tigers (3-0) crushed the Idaho Vandals, 63-14, on Saturday night, and with the dominant victory have jumped to the No. 2 spot in the newly released Associated Press Top 25 Poll. The Tigers received two first place votes in this week's poll.

Alabama remains the No. 1 team in the land, while last week's No. 2 team, USC, falls to No. 13 after an upset loss to the Stanford Cardinal on Saturday night.

Oregon, Florida State and Georgia round out the top five. Six SEC schools can be found in the poll this week: Alabama, LSU, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, and Mississippi State. Tennessee drops out of the rankings after a home loss to the Gators.
