The Coaches Poll has a definite Texas flavor in Week 6.
The Week 6 Coaches Poll is loaded with Texas teams, as Texas, TCU, and Texas Tech all reached the Top 25 while Texas A&M is just outside the Top 25. Texas is the highest rated in-state team at No. 9, but is only third among Big 12 teams, behind West Virginia and Kansas State.
The Big 12 continues to dominate the rankings as six teams are ranked and the conference only has three losses outside the league. Kansas has two of those losses with Oklahoma State earning a respectable defeat at Arizona.
Baylor is also receiving votes even after the shootout defeat at West Virginia.
