Tyrann Mathieu To Enroll At LSU Following Rehab

Stay connected for news and updates

Dismissed LSU Tigers cornerback Tyrann Mathieu was set to re-enroll at the school Tuesday following a rehab stint in Houston, according to reports.

The Heisman Trophy finalist won't see the field this season after being kicked off the team on Aug. 10 for reportedly failing multiple drug tests.

It seems as though "Honey Badger" is committed to re-joining the Tigers on the field in 2013 as opposed to transferring to another school, though head coach Les Miles and compliance officers have said Mathieu is permanently ineligible. Mathieu previously visited FCS schools NIcholls State and McNeese State, where he would've been eligible to play in 2012.

Mathieu's adoptive father Tyrone Mathieu told the Times-Picayune of Honey Badger's enrollment plans and stressed the star player's concern is more on academics than the football field.
