Astros Vs. Pirates: Start Time Delayed By Rain

Stay connected for news and updates

Rain started to hit Pittsburgh shortly before the start of the game between the Houston Astros and Pittsburgh Pirates, halting the game before it even began. Wandy Rodriguez is scheduled to take on Jordan Lyles in Tuesday's contest as the Astros go for two straight wins over the playoff-seeking Pirates in Pittsburgh.

With the level of rain that is currently hitting the field, it's unlikely that the game will start any time soon either, with a start time after 8:30 p.m. ET likely. There may be more rain on the way for Pittsburgh as well, which could mean that game two of the Astros-Pirates series might not happen on Tuesday at all.
