The Houston Marathon will get underway on Sunday with a legion of competitors ready to run.

The 41st edition of the Houston Marathon will be run on Sunday morning, with much anticipation going into the race.

One thing everyone must keep an eye on is the weather, which seems to be cooperating. The forecast is currently nice, with the temperature in the low 50's and no precipitation expected.

The course is a beauty, starting at Minute Maid Park and continuing through Houston Heights and Neartown. Then the runners will head past Rice University, through Uptown and Memorial Park before finishing up at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

The last four winners of the Houston Marathon hail from Ethopia, with Tariku Jufar taking home the honors in 2012 with a time of 2:06:51. Jufar's time was a record for the race, showcasing his dominance.
