With the Houston Astros set to embark on a six-game road trip to conclude the 2012 season, Wednesday's series finale against the St. Louis Cardinals will be their final home game as a National League team.

The Astros (50-105) have lost the first two games of the series by a combined score of 10-1. Bud Norris (5-13, 5.05 ERA) is set to take the mound against Chris Carpenter (0-0, 3.60 ERA) despite dealing with a blister on his hand on top of flu-like symptoms.

Norris hasn't earned a win since May 21 but could get lucky tonight with Carpenter only making his second start of the season.

Here are both teams' full lineups for tonight's 2012 finale at Minute Maid Park:

Forward Arsalan Kazemi has decided to transfer to Oregon and will begin classes at the university Monday after being granted his release from the Rice basketball team earlier this month, according to Sports Illustrated's Luke Winn.

The 6'7 senior was also considering Kentucky, Florida, Cincinnati, Ohio State and Texas before settling on the Ducks. Additionally, Sports Illustrated is reporting that Kazemi plans on petitioning the NCAA for a hardship waiver so he would be allowed to play instantly for the team instead of sitting out a year.

Oregon would have quite the lanky starting lineup if Kazemi is allowed to join E.J. Singler, Tony Woods and Waverly Austin for the 2012-2013 season.

Kazemi, the first native Iranian collegiate basketball player, is the sixth athlete to leave Rice's program this offseason along with center Omar Oraby (transferred to USC), forward David Chadwick (transferred to Valparaiso), forward Jarelle Reischel (transferred to Rhode Island), guard Dylan Ennis (transferred to Villanova) and forward Ahmad Ibrahim (joined Lebanese professional league).

Kazemi averaged 12.4 points and 10.3 rebound per game in his junior campaign for the Owls.

The Texas A&M Aggies have been watching tape of Boise State to prepare for their first SEC conference game against the Florida Gators, according to Brent Zwerneman of the Houston Chronicle.

The move makes sense since current Gators offensive coordinator Brent Pease came from Boise State last season. And with Florida using a vanilla game plan against a lesser Bowling Green team last Saturday, the Aggies prefer to go straight to the larger body of work for scouting assistance.

Here's what A&M defensive coordinator Mark Snyder has to say on the subject:

"I've watched Brent Pease over the years at Boise, and I know his offense has a lot more to it than what I saw Saturday [against Bowling Green]. It was a typical first game. You want to establish the line of scrimmage, run the football, play-action pass, things like that."

A&M safety Steven Terrell also acknowledges in the article that the team has been watching Boise State tape since as late as last week stating "whatever most coordinators do at their last stop, they bring with them."

The Aggies kick off their season at 2:30 p.m. CT at College Station against the Gators (1-0).

Washington Huskies coach Steve Sarkisian used an actual caged tiger at practice Tuesday to replicate what his players can expect when they enter Death Valley to take on Louisana State this Saturday, according to a story from Percey Allen of the Seattle Times.

The tiger, an 18-month-old female named Sheena, was placed in a cage about 30 feet from the field where the Huskies practiced Thursday as a proxy to Mike, LSU's latest living Tiger mascot.

But Allen goes on to explain that the Huskies shouldn't be afraid of the restrained beast. Instead, it's the intense fan noise that should have them shaking in their boots. Here's what current Seattle Seahawks and former Florida Gators defensive tackle Jay Howard had to say as a warning about playing in the "sea of noise."

"It's loud all the time," he said. "That's all I can say. The fans are crazy and nuts. They're going to be yelling all game long."

Furthermore, it's been a while since Washington faithful has seen their team make the trip to LSU. The Huskies last traveled to visit the Tigers in 1983 and were annihilated 40-14. Since that time, LSU has recently renovated their stadium to make it the seventh-largest college football collusive in the country, seating a grandiose 92,542 spectators.

So here's to hoping the Huskies aren't too distracting by the living, breathing tiger in the corner so they can mentally prepare for the crowd factor and treat the audience to an at least semi-competitive game. Then again, I don't think anyone wearing purple and gold will mind a blowout as long as they get to taunt the visitors with "Tiger Bait" chants all day.

Les Miles was forced to cancel Wednesday's practice when Hurricane Isaac began to hit more severely.

Hurricane Isaac has forced LSU football to officially cancel their Wednesday practice as a safety precaution but the Tigers' season opener against North Texas is still expected to be played as scheduled.

According to the story initially reported by ESPN, LSU has altered plans for two other sporting events. Friday's soccer match against Stephen F. Austin was postponed until Tuesday and the volleyball tournament scheduled for Friday and Saturday on campus has been moved to Houston.

Additionally, concerns over Hurricane Isaac have already lead to the postponement of Texas A&M and Lousiana Tech's Thursday night game in Louisana along with South Alabama's home opener against Texas-San Antonio on the same night.

If the LSU game is to eventually be rescheduled, it wouldn't be the first time. Back in 2005, Hurricane Katrina caused the postponement of a game with North Texas in Les Miles first season as the Tigers' head coach.
