Jordan Schafer Injury Update

Stay connected for news and updates

After leaving Sunday's game against the Miami Marlins with dizziness after a collision at second base, Houston Astros center fielder Jordan Schafer is back in the lineup for his club on Monday night as they take on Stephen Strasburg and the Washington Nationals.

Schafer will be in the leadoff spot for Houston. In 10 games played this season, Schafer has a .242 batting average to go along with a home run and a pair of RBI's.

He was part of the package that the Atlanta Braves sent to Houston in exchange for speedy center fielder Michael Bourn in 2011.

The Astros are off to a 4-5 start, and sit two and a half games back of the St. Louis Cardinals in the NL Central Division entering Monday night's play.
