The Houston Astros will "welcome" their in-state rivals for another battle of the Silver Boot, and a look at what life will be like in the AL West.
Houston baseball fans will get a preview of life in the AL West, begininning 2013, for the Astros this weekend against the in-state "rival" Texas Rangers. The teams will battle for the Silver Boot, which the Rangers have taken five times in a row, and the series has shifted dramatically in Texas' favor. Houston has lost 16 of their last 18 games against Texas going back to 2009. It's worth noting that Interleague play has been rough for the Astros of late - they've posted a 7-23 record over the last two seasons.
