Astros Vs. Rockies: Bud Norris Allows 9 Earned Runs As Houston Loses 6th In A Row

A rough road trip mercifully came to an end Thursday, as the Astros lost for the sixth time in a row by falling to the Rockies 11-5. The four-game sweep by Colorado finished Houston's road trip with a 1-6 record.

Pitching was again the downfall. Bud Norris lasted just 1 2/3 innings in the start and allowed nine earned runs on seven hits, falling to 5-2 on the year. The Rockies scored five in the first and four in the second, all but ending Houston's hopes of breaking the losing streak.

To their credit, six pitchers from the Houston bullpen combined to allow just two earned runs over the final 6 1/3 innings. The Astros were led at the plate by Jose Altuve, who went 3-for-5 with an RBI. Jed Lowrie went 3-for-5.
