Astros Vs. White Sox Final Score: Houston's Bats Go Silent, Fall To Chicago 10-1

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale held the Astros offense in check by pitching eight shutout innings while allowing only four hits and struck out seven batters as the White Sox ultimately won 10-1. For the first four innings this was a pitchers duel as the Astros Jordan Lyles did not give up any runs, but in the fifth inning he fell apart and gave up five runs -- four of them earned -- before being pulled for Xavier Cedeno.

The game really got out of hand in the bottom of the eighth inning when Rhine Cruz came in for relief but only stayed in the game for 2/3 of an inning and due to allowing six hits including a grand slam to Adam Dunn.

The only run for the Astros came in the bottom of the ninth inning when shortstop Jed Lowrie hit a solo home run.
