Astros Vs. Brewers Final Score: Houston's Bats Fall Silent In 7-1 Loss To Milwaukee

Once again the Houston Astros offense was shutdown, and they only managed five hits in their 7-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. The Astros did get on the board in the first inning when second baseman Scott Moore hit a solo home run, but that was it.

The Astros pitchers were not as efficient as starter J.A. Happ gave up all seven runs in 6.1 innings of work, and that includes three home runs. Happ was pitching fairly well heading into the sixth inning as the score was 4-1, but he proceeded to allow three runs on three hits to allow the Brewers to extend their lead to 7-1.

The Brewers used a combined effort from their pitching staff which was led by starter Yovani Gallardo who pitched six innings, gave up one run and four hits. The relief pitching for the Brewers then had a combined one-hit effort over the final three innings between Kameron Loe and Livan Hernandez.
