The Astros took two out of three games against the Brewers this weekend, both in walk-off fashion. So Sunday's loss was just another drop in the bucket, as the excitement had already come and gone.

This was a good weekend to be an Astros fan. By the time Houston fell to the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday, it had already taken the first two games of the series, both in walk-off fashion for the Minute Maid crowd.

It doesn't matter that Houston was playing a Milwaukee team without much success on the road this season, because the Stros won consecutive games for the first time in well over a month (June 26-27). The Astros recorded three wins through the first 11 days of August. It took them until July 29th to get just as many wins last month.

We're talking progress here, people.

Not only were these Houston's first back-to-back wins in a long time, but it was their first walk-off victories of the entire season. Wilton Lopez picked up the wins in both of those games, even though he blew the save on Saturday. Brian Bogusevic and Scott Moore were the walk-off heroes.

For a while now, I've said that Houston's games weren't about winning and losing, since the Stros are expected to lose basically every game they play. It's about how they play. Do we see anything that we want to carry over into the rest of this development phase going into to next season and beyond?

Those were questions I asked, and it was impressive to see Houston put up 22 hits in two games, even if it was against the Brewers after all. But there was nothing that rang louder than winning.
