The Houston Astros begin a three game series as they host the San Francisco Giants
The Houston Astros begin a new three-game set when they host the NL-West-leading San Francisco Giants. The Astros are coming off a poor performance against the New York Mets during which they scored just two runs during their final two games. Both were loses.
The Giants have also lost their last two games, but going up against the Astros might be just what they need. They are starting Matt Cain who is 13-5 with a 2.83 ERA and is looking for his fourth straight quality start.
The Astros are countering with Bud Norris who has pitched poorly all season. Since May 21 the right-hander is 0-10 with a 6.78 ERA in 14 starts. So, it will be tough for the Astros to get a win in Game 1 of this series.
Game Time: 7:05 p.m. CT
Location: Minute Maid Park, Houston
TV: Fox Sports Southwest
Radio: 740 KTRH
