Astros Vs. Cubs Series: Someone Has To Win

The Astros begin a three-game series against the Cubs on Monday in a matchup between the two worst teams in Major League Baseball. It's the last time the Cubs visit Minute Maid Park as division opponents.

In a matchup between the league's two worst teams, Astros fans can only be wondering one thing going into the Cubs series on Monday: If the Stros won two out of three against the Reds, have won their last five against the Cubs at Minute Paid Park, this series should go over well in Houston, right?

No one really knows when you're dealing with teams that don't win very often. Anything could happen in this series, and the fans realize that. What seems more interesting is this being the last time the Cubs visit Minute Maid Park as division opponents, since the 18-year relationship in the NL Central comes to an end with Houston moving to the American League in 2013.

The Astros are 143-123 against the Cubs since 1995 and 71-62 at home as well.

Matt Dominguez is going to be a player to watch for the Stros, since he homered twice against the Reds over the weekend. There was his walk-off shot in the series opener, then a three-run blast on Sunday.

The Cubs are coming off an impressive series as well, having swept the Pirates over the weekend.

Take a look here at the probable starters for this series:

Monday: Dallas Keuchel (1-7, 5.54 ERA) vs. Chris Volstad (2-10, 6.23 ERA)

Tuesday: Jordan Lyles (3-11, 5.55 ERA) vs. Justin Germano (2-6, 6.16 ERA)

Wednesday Fernando Abad (0-3, 5.30 ERA) vs. Travis Wood (5-11, 4.42 ERA)
